The Little Brooklyn Bakery (Romantic Escapes #2)

This is my second reading of Romantic Escapes series by Julie Chaplin. This book tells the story of Kate's friend, Sophie. I bought the ebook from Google Play Books. I enjoyed reading ebooks in my phone during my trip to and from office. It's practical, light and handy, easier to access anywhere and anytime.

Take a trip to New York and the best little bakery in Brooklyn for bagels, bakes, and more than a sprinkle of romance!

When Sophie Bennings arrives in New York, love is the last thing on her mind. Still reeling from a painful break up, she throws herself into her work as a food editor on a top-notch magazine.

Columnist Todd McLennan is everything that Sophie wishes she didn’t want. Like the gorgeous bakery below her Brooklyn apartment, he’s as tempting as the sugary cupcakes on daily display. Surely a little of something you fancy can do you good?

As Sophie and Todd get to know one another, a love of food isn’t the only passion they share. In the city that never sleeps, has Sophie finally met the man of her dreams…?

💖My Favorite Character💖
I enjoyed this more than Romantic Escapes #1 book. I've got some favorite characters here. I even want to meet them in real life, they're gonna be very nice and fun friends to get along.

Sophie
I love Sophie's character, she is kind hearted and have down-to-earth nature, light and funny (unlike Kate from the first book who's more ambitious). She loves baking, a food writer in an international reputable food magazine, she is the person with the job I wanna have 😁.

Todd
Good looking (eventually drop dead gorgeous), easy going, light-hearted fun, and has a whole harem on speed dial 😄. Really an opposite of all-or-nothing kind of girl like Sophie. Despite of what it seems to be, that Todd might be all about having fun, living for the moment and enjoying everything that life threw at him without involving himself in any commitment, he do cared about her.

Bella
Todd's cousin, Bella is also my favorite. She is Sophie's landlady and also her best friend. She is great in baking and decorating cakes (cakes she makes - with huge help from Sophie - is stunning!). Bella is also the owner of a little nice bakery, my most favorite place in this book. I dream to sit in one of Bella's customer chair - where all those delicious smells of the freshly baked breads come from, to have my coffee and cake in one blissful Sunday morning.

Sophie meets Todd, and suddenly her world that's been shattered into pieces by the man she loved before, turns totally into Todd McLennan, a man that do no commitment. Will she risk her heart again by loving someone who has no place for serious relationship? Warm and delicious read full of cakes 💖
